Jackson Mestler joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder from Santiago, Chile to discuss his upcoming race Nov. 4 at the Pan American Games. The Eugene native and former University of Oregon standout, who was seventh in the Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, recovered from a stress reaction in his foot over the summer and got in enough training to earn one of two spots on the U.S. team. Saturday's race is Mestler's first competition outside of the U.S. and it's his first opportunity to compete on a national team.
