Derek Holdsworth will compete for the United States at the upcoming Pan American Games in the 800 meters and joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to talk about the opportunity to compete in his first international meet. Holdsworth placed sixth in the 800 meters final at the USATF Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene in early July. Holdsworth is an unsponsored athlete who works at a running shoe store in Seattle and also is working toward an additional degree in graduate school.
